Nostalgia and giving back

My first ever gaming experience was with Superfrog and Prince of Persia on Amiga 600 in the early nineties. I recall that it was my cousin's Christmas present, and we had pirated copies of those games on floppies. Superfrog was so much fun back then. We spent hours progressing through levels, collecting coins, and shooting down bees. Amazing classic.

Lately I had an opportunity to give back to the family member, who made my first gaming experience happen. The person who bought the Amiga then received a special gift from me in return. After approximately 30 years since they made my first gaming experience possible I put together a special gift for them. After noticing their interest in my Switch and some of the games I decided to buy them their own system and games.

I bought a navy blue Nintendo Switch Lite with Integral's 128 GB memory card and red Tech Gear's case. I also got three games, which they enjoyed playing when we last met: Stray, Untitled Goose Game, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered. The process of obtaining the goods and setting it up once it arrived was a lot of fun. I love putting together that kind of gifts. That's why I'd like to work in retail, with games and consoles, one day.
