NBA 2K22 on Nintendo Switch
Another 2K sports game that I picked up lately has arrived today. It was just a download code in the box with an empty game card slot, which was a bit disappointing. It meant another hefty download to my 512 GB SD card, which is over 70% full at this point with only 153 GB of space available. I already own this game on PS4 (it was the first one I bought after getting a console), but hey the price was right and it won't hurt to have an option to play this on a handheld too.
After work I played a basketball game on PS4 in NBA 2K23. My Pelicans beat Cavs 50:23. Zion Williamson, on whom I was focusing offensively, recorded 29 points converting 14 of 26 attempts (he could not shoot from range efficiently), 3 rebounds (I expected a better result here to be honest), and 3 assists. He recorded 5 dunks, just like real-life Zion would most likely. Kira Lewis Jr. did not play: my decision. It's heartbreaking I know, but it is what it is.
Sadly my copy of Ghost World by Daniel Clowes, which was scheduled for delivery today, did not come. It is still in status: Delivery today. There will be an update on this one via email later today most likely. I'm thinking about recording a gameplay video of Aleksej Pokusevski shooting threes in practice in 2K24. For all normal people as interesting as watching the paint dry, but I think it's a fun video idea. This way I could use one of my HDMI capture cards and showcase some gameplay content. It would be my first attempt at that kinda thing. I think I'm gonna do this soon. Now it's time to continue 2K23's Jordan Challenge.
I put together my own team in My League mode of NBA 2K23. It consists of Kemba Walker, Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Latrell Sprewell, Robert Parish, Arvydas Sabonis, Tony Parker, Marcus Camby, Dennis Rodman, Kevin Willis, Wally Szczerbiak, Lonnie Walker IV, Scot Pollard, and Keith Van Horn with long socks on. I lost my first game, but in the second one the chemistry was there, our shots were falling and we defeated the Bill Russell's Orlando Magic 59:46. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf scored 20 points making 9 out of 22 attempts (two of those were threes). I owe this win largely to my big men, who kept many plays alive by securing the rebounds and putbacks.
